of bart, people were enthusiastic and bond measures were passed, and three county sign in to the visionit was a three-hour trip to san francisco and now it is a 41-min. trip from dublin to montgomery street. one of the things that we need to do inside of san francisco it's some sort of either bart or muni line to the northwest part of san francisco. not many people are enthusiastic about packing up to a 38 bus. that's not a pleasant trip. rather than spending years and years and bus rapid transit, we need to develop a visionary plan and work with all of the agencies and get it done even if the case in a few more years, it is better to have something good. the central subway is a start. the downtown caltrain extension is another start. another thought that comes to mind is, i hope it is a reality by 2018, or whenever we hope to have the extension, using some of those lines also for shorter trains; it could serve places like -- visitation or brisbane, it could go down the peninsula, eventually down the state. we can learn from the past; ancestors used topography by boring tunnels un

. i now live in district 11, just one block from balboa park bart station on lewis burk street. i participated on the facilities review committee as a member of the participatory governance process at city college of san francisco. so, the building that now faces [speaker not understood] as a part of a committee that worked on the plans, actually look at how we could link the pedestrian linkages between city college and our transportation including balboa park, k line, the phelan loop area where the 49 terminates and the 8x. i also worked for five years at the los angeles county metropolitan transportation authority in the board office where metro r which is their third sales tax that provides transportation revenue for transit projects and they're looking to accelerate those projects currently with a new bond measure this upcoming year. i worked with a lot of the directors that compiled a lot of those different projects. and my first transportation job was actually as a high cooler at muni in the service planning department. so, i have a lot of transportation expertise. i work wi

the busiest bart station outside of downtown san francisco. it's got three light rail lanes, notable bus lines. and there are currently some issues with pedestrian access and transit op -- operations at the station. there have been previous efforts to look at improving the station and there are improvements that are on the way. some improvements that have already been done, such as the west side walkway project. and more that are on the way. but there is still room for improvement. this study, the circulation study that we are managing, is looking at ways to improve the overall circulation of the area. we think that one issue that hasn't been looked at in detail before is the issue of can we rearrange some of the circulation in the area relating specifically to how the vehicles access to and from i-2 80 at ocean and [speaker not understood] avenues and whether we can reduce some of the conflicts those vehicles are having with bus operations and pedestrian access. so, this study has also produced some initial products including planning those framework and existing conditions. we're in the pro
